Synopsis

In modern Japan, the economic downturn has dragged on for 20 years, leaving everyone strapped for cash. Yet, the allure of city life remains strong, even though it comes with many sacrifices. Our protagonist Alba Mion is desperately trying to fit into the “cool group,” navigating life with a mix of brightness and cunning, doing whatever it takes to protect herself each day.

One day, she thinks, “If only I were back in my hometown…” Life would be cheaper, more relaxed, and free from the relentless chase. She could aim for a house, and most importantly, she’d be surrounded by friends who understand the “real me.”

Then, out of the blue, she receives an invitation to a high school reunion after ten years. That’s when she realizes, “If I’m going to get married, it has to be in my hometown!”

But ten years can be cruel and people have changed, whether they like to admit or not. Can Mion find the true love she’s been longing for?
