It was announced on November 21st that child actress, Ashida Mana (6) who portrayed a child prodigy in this spring’s drama “Mother” (Japan TV), will publish her first book titled, “Mana mana” on 12/16.

Ashida’s first drama was 2009’s “ABC Short Movie 2 – Daibo kenmama” (Osaka – Asahi). Ashida then got her big break in this April’s drama “Mother” which stars Matsuyuki Yasuko who yearns for a daughter. It was a poignant drama that gripped everyone’s hearts and made many viewers teary-eyed. Currently, Ashida has 2 movies set for release, and she’ll also be appearing in next year’s NHK Taiga drama “Gou: Himetachi no Sengoku.” She won’t stop working at this rate.

The first edition of “Mana mana” goes on sale next month on the 16th published by Kodansha. A 2011 calendar of Ashida Mana is also being raffled off to 100 entrants.
