It’s been roughly 5 years since Yada Akiko had a lead part in a drama, but now she’s back with a challenging role as a mother in the 19th LISMO (mobile) Drama Series, “Sora ni Ichiban Chikai Shiawase” and also “Gene Waltz Another Story.” Yada Akiko who is also a mother in real life, portrays a mother who loses her child after birth.

This coming February, the movie “Gene Waltz” will open to the public. The story is about a married couple eagerly waiting for the birth of their baby, but a sad event occurs prompting feelings of how important it is to hold onto new life. Akiko commented, “I can play this role now since I have experience in giving birth to a child. Director Nagata politely took his time filming, and he’s created a mysterious and real work of art.”

“Sora ni Ichiban Chikai Shiawase” and “Gene Waltz Another Story” will start airing 12/3, every friday via KDDI as a part of the LISMO (mobile) Drama Series.

Yada Akiko was married to troubled actor Oshio Manabu, they have a son together. Oshio Manabu was in a scandal in 2009, which involved drugs and the subsequent death of a female acquaintance.
