Two members of the popular Johnny’s Jr. group “Kis-My-Ft2” Fujigaya Taisuke (23) and Kitayama Hiromitsu (25) were cast in next year’s Nihon TV’s drama, “Misaki Number One!!” (Wed 10PM). They will be portraying as the main students in this drama that’s being backed by the “Gokusen” staff.
Karina (26) is playing the role of “Misaki,” who is a former cabaret girl turned high school teacher. “Misaki Number One!!” is a drama about Tennouji Misaki who struggles to reorganize a problematic Class 2Z. Fujigaya is the hot-headed class leader, Kujou Kazuma and Kitayama will be Kujou’s partner in crime, mood maker, Minato Ryousuke.
Fujigaya previously appeared in TV Asahi’s 2007 drama “Byakkotai,” while this will be Kitayama’s first drama. Fujigaya commented, “I’m very excited about this being the first time to act alongside a fellow Kis-My-Ft2 member in this school drama.” Kitayama enthusiastically responded, “I want to produce a great drama with Fujigaya by doing our best.”
Some popular stars that were “Gokusen” students were fellow Johnny’s Matsumoto Jun (27), Kamenashi Kazuya (24), Akanishi Jin (26). Other stars were Oguri Shun (27) and Koike Teppei (24). Fujigaya and Kitayama are expected to make a break-through with this drama also. Producer Kato Masatoshi who also handled “Gokusen” has high hopes for the two also, “We casted them in hopes that the next stars will be born from this drama.”
