Actress Tabe Mikako will be starring in the manga-based drama “Deka Wanko” which airs January 2011 (every Sunday at 9PM). The “Deka Wanko” manga artist, Morimoto Kozueko, also drew the popular “Gokusen” series which also had an extremely popular live action adaptation with Nakama Yukie as the lead. Deka Wanko is a detective comedy about Hanamori Ichiko who solves ridiculous cases that might be real with her incredible sense of smell. Tabe commented, “When I first read the original work [manga], I thought the characters were comical and interesting, and I found myself unexpectedly laughing out loud. It’s not only a comedy, but it’s a drama filled with human kindness, and I can’t wait for my family to watch it.”
