Artist Okamoto Taro who created catchy phrases like, “Art Explosion!” is having his life turned into a NHK drama series for his 100th birthday on 2/26/2011 titled, “Taro no Tou” (Taro’s Pagoda). Taro will be portrayed by actor Matsuo Suzuki, whom you may recognize from the quirky drama “Manhattan Love Story.” Taro’s supportive adopted daughter Toshiko will be portrayed by actress Tokiwa Takako.
