SMAP’s Kusanagi Tsuyoshi (36) made an appearance with his co-star Takeuchi Yuko along with 11 brides and grooms on November 22nd for their movie, “Boku to Tsuma no 1778 no Monogatari” (opens nationwide next year on 1/15).

“We have some lovely couples today,” Kusanagi said in response to the happy 22 brides and grooms in white wedding gowns and tuxedos. Kusanagi with hopes of getting married said, “Everyone is sparkling. I wish I had a lovely person, too.” Takeuchi smiled from beginning to end lost in Kusanagi’s words of proposal.

Written by sci-fi author, Mayumura Taku (76), the film is based off a true story of Mr. Mayumura’s wife’s death from intestinal cancer in 2002. The story depicts a husband who writes short stories over a 5 year span when his wife is given a one year life expectancy prognosis.
