Igeta Hiroe’s Love Triangle with “Handsome Brothers” Yamashita Koki and Inukai Atsuhiro in “Watashi no Machi no Chiba-kun wa.”—Higuchi Hina Joins the Cast
The key visual for the TV Tokyo Drama NEXT series “Watashi no Machi no Chiba-kun wa.” (October 9, starting Wednesdays at 12:30 AM) has been unveiled. The drama stars Igeta Hiroe and features Yamashita Coki and Inukai Atsuhiro, with Higuchi Hina joining the cast as well.
The series is based on the manga of the same name by Okamoto Tokasa, which won the Runner-Up Prize at the 2020 Anan Manga Awards. The story centers around the theme of “first love,” exploring the thrill and drama of being caught between two attractive brothers.
In the show, Machi (Igeta) is a teacher at her former high school. Her life is turned upside down when a handsome transfer student, Yuto (Yamashita), joins her class. Yuto is the younger brother of Yuuichi (Inukai), Machi’s first love from high school, and bears a striking resemblance to him. As memories of her first love resurface, Machi unexpectedly reunites with Yuuichi at a party. The story unfolds as she navigates her feelings for the younger brother, Yuto, and her former crush, the older brother, Yuuichi, leading to a complex love triangle.
The key visual captures the suspenseful and exciting moment of Machi being surrounded by the handsome brothers in the school where she experienced her first love. It highlights Machi’s dilemma of choosing between the two brothers and teases the competition between them. Additionally, the curtain surrounding the Chiba brothers is a significant element in the drama, making it a key point of interest.
Higuchi Hina, a former member of Nogizaka46, has been cast as the school counselor Midori Sakashita, who serves as a supportive figure for Machi. The interactions between Machi and Midori will be another aspect to look forward to in this engaging drama.
