The four male actors for NHK’s 2011 morning drama, “Ohisama” (based on a novel) were announced on 11/29. The actor portraying the husband of the heroine, Sudou Youko (played by actress Inoue Mao), is actor Maruyama Kazunari. The other actors are: Koura Kengo (23), Tanaka Kei (26), Nagayama Kento (21), Kaneko Nobuaki (29). This will be the first time for all 4 actors to be in a morning drama and it’s also a first for Inoue Mao.

“Ohisama” takes place in the cities of Azumino and Matsumoto of the Nagano prefecture before, during, and after the upheaval of the Showa era. “Ohisama” means sun and depicts a strong and gentle mother in Japan who continues to illuminate on everyone with her bright smile.

“Ohisama” airs next year on 3/28 (Mon) at 8AM till 9/24 (Sat) with a total of 156 episodes.
