The TV Asahi drama, Tokusou9 Season 5, will air on April 6, 2022 starring the main lead Inohara Yoshihiko. Mukai Koji of the Johnny’s group, Snow Man, is the newest member to join the cast.

In this latest installment, the storyline will focus on each member of the special investigation team. Not only will there be a special episode starring Yamada Yuki’s character, Shindo Ryo, but it’ll depict the new lives of the following characters, Asawa Michiko, Komiyama Shiho, and Murase Kengo.

Mukai Koji, the newest cast member, will play Mitsuya Shohei, who belongs to the new department, SSBC, within the Metro Police Department (MPD). His character is a bright, but slightly spontaneous young man that’s hard to hate. He will be supporting the special investigation.

Mukai Koji is a self-professed fool in the “Snow Man Drama Squad” (members of the JPOP group Snow Man who also act), and he’s repeatedly expressed on variety shows of wanting to act. “I’ve wanted to challenge myself with acting and dramas, and I’m happy that Tokusou9 has made that dream come true.” To which, Inohara yelled, “Leave your bashfulness at the door and show your true self!”

Additional cast include Fukikoshi Mitsuru, Taguchi Hiromasa, Nakagoshi Noriko, Harasa Chie, and Nakamura Baijaku.
