28nov23 - fell out of interest watching it tbh

i have so many feelings about this show but mostly that its my absolute fave. it gets me every single time and its so good every single time.

i love a silly show but this is TOO silly, yknow

i think the story is compelling and done nicely but what takes me out is the acting. i know sakurai yuki is a new actor but it just shows and it takes me out of the immersion, yknow. overall, it was good.

i really enjoyed and loved this drama !

first, its got a really great cast and actually the reason why i wanted to watch in the first place. but the show really did let them shine ! there were really great moments through the drama where i was like: these actors are ACTING. they are acTORS. which was really great to see.

also really liked the plot. for something so broad, and also the fact that they had three plotlines essentially to follow, they made it work nicely. the themes of the show were pretty intense, but handled in that soft, very japanese way.

it made me cry and laugh and i love themmmm ♥️

i quite liked having the backstory before the movie, even though i watched this AFTER i watched the movie LOL it gives a nice intro and context to the oya high characters and it was fun ! i loved the extra maruyama content as well 😏

I really liked this show ! It was sweet and kept me on the edge of my seat. The ending is a little... lackluster, I think. You kind of figure it out before the end, even for someone like me who never figures things out lol but I thought it would be a lil more complex. Overall though, I really liked it and it's really good.

a solid 4 stars because it really became a comfort show for me. i started looking forward to watching it and being soothed by the cuteness 🥰 i really enjoyed it and they're all adorable :DD

this show was so lovely !!! i really liked it, especially the family and the friendship aspect of it <3

at first, i was like "mamiya shotaro why are you in high school lmao" but as it went on, i was like "yes tsuyoshi-kun! you hannah montana your way through hs, i believe you!"

but really though, this show was hilarious and heartwarming and the friendships !!! family !!!! so good <3

It's so lovely and pretty much perfect !

This is a manga adaption of the same name and I read the manga right before the show started airing so it was in the back of my mind but, wow. They really did it justice plus some additional worldbuilding and plot bits as well. And it absolutely worked and enhanced the story even more.

The cast is SO GOOD. I loved Inukai and Hiroki in their roles and they acted them so well. The real star of the show is Kuga who plays Tane and he is the MOST ADORABLE LIL DUDE AND I LOVE HIM SO MUCH. He's such a sweet lil guy and he was perfect for Tane. The supporting cast is also so excellent, like Ueda papa and Yutaka's coworker and Minoru's boss. They just rounded it out so nicely.

The chemistry between Inukai and Hiroki is so so good and even more, the chemistry between Inukai, Hiroki and Kuga was sooooo sweet. You just love watching them and you root for them to be happy, relationship-wise between Yutaka and Minoru and family-wise with those two and Tane. ALSO, amazing choice of drama and partner for Inukai for his first BL kiss XD Good for him, good for him!

I love this show. I'll probably rewatch it again. Definitely one of the top Japanese BLs I've seen. Love, love, love it ♥️♥️♥️

a solid 3 ! it was cute and many parts really felt like i was watching a fanfic irl but otherwise, overall, enjoyable. they were frustrating sometimes and a little silly but they were very cute.

This was so lovely !!

The plot brings up quite a lot of more heavier topics when it comes to marriage and bring a couple and what that entails in society, obvs more geared to Japanese society but overall as well. But it does it in a very fine line of lighthearted and still very impactful way. The side charas also deal with other different societal issues like being a single mom and being an older single woman and being LGBT among others. And handles their stories, though not the main story, very nicely as well.

And obviously, I adore the two leads. They have really nice chemistry despite the weird situation that the plot puts them and you root for them ! Even if they're both equally frustrating at times, you still want to see them together and overcoming the obstacles that they face.

Overall, I really enjoyed the drama and on to the SP !

i Loved this show. what a precious show. what lovely characters. what a really nice location that they found to film in. i binged it so quickly and i wish i'd savored it more but i just couldn't stop. what really got me was the plot. plots like this are kinda tough, it's a tough subject y'know. but this show really handles it quite respectfully and with such delicate care and love. the thoughts and feelings and questions are answered with thought and watching it was..... such a good experience. i felt really good watching it. these are my kidssss. i love them <3<3<3

i do love friendship and fighting, electric boogaloo. this one is slightly more cohesive, plot-wise, i think. the first season was an introduction and worldbuilding. this season was too but they added in more plot. it kinda got confusing sometimes, since there are more people but you got the hang of it by the end.

god this show was painful in that slow, lovely painful way and it was So Good. i was really afraid of starting this show because i knew with that premise, that it was not.. it was not going to end any other way. but goddamn, am i glad i took the plunge because it was such a loving, heartbreaking story about loss and grief and love. just so much love. like, it's making me tear up just thinking about it. AND WHEW THAT CHEMISTRY. the two leads really, really delivered. they broke my heart and then mended it so kindly, even if it was still a lil cracked in some places. can't recommend this show enough.

What a lovely slice of life ! It was really gorgeous too, from the cinematography to the costumes. The leads were very lovable and the pacing might be slow at some points but that also just lent to the show's charm. Very calm and endearing ^^

I found this quite enjoyable ! I really liked all the characters and it was a really refreshing plot. I also really fell in like with inoue sora after eien no kino so it was a really nice surprise to see him here.

This was cute but nothing much else XD The premise of the drama was intriguing but it just didn't capture my attention as much. The two leads also had like the most bare minimum of chemistry together. They are, looks-wise, very nice to look at but, that was about it. Maybe a little smidgeon more, if anything. A silly romp of a show but that's about it.

Do i dock one star for being too short lmao but in all seriousness, this show packs so much in so so little time. I loved that it called back to the previous season and didn't just, like, cut it off like some second seasons tend to do. That the narrative shows you the growth that each of them has, however small or frustrating or loveable. That they keep moving forward together and it's a choice that they make for themselves and with each other. They also have amazing, amazing chemistry. I love them so much 😭❤️

This was such a lovely show ! The two leads had great chemistry and you really wanted to root for them, especially Tomoko. I enjoyed it a lot <3

I wish there was just one more episode so that the ending feels more grounded but i love them and they love each other still, and it’s so clear on their faces, that they’re going to be fine ☹️

i ALSO really liked this one. i LOVED the atmosphere that they brought to this drama. it was melancholy and it felt grounded and like you were there with them. idk im not a film person ok. but like. do you feel me? lol

it also helped that the two leads busted out a lot of the acting chops they got for this one. like kyoya and kosuke were really the star of this drama. like, sure the plot is straight out of a fanfic and that's cool that you're literally watching a fanfic unfold in front of your eyes, but like, i think half way through, actually before that, you're kinda just there to watch them perform and have chemistry up the hooha.

is it perfect? no. but did i have the most melancholy fun ride during its run time? absolutely, yes.

there's something really heartwarming and kind about this drama. and i was really taken by it in the first 10 mins. i really, really, reallyyyyyy adored momoko and manato. they were such lovely characters and you just wanted to root for their happiness throughout the series. momoko is so kind and manato is also so kind, i love them so dearly.
